Vintage Civil War Union & Confederate Soldier Lamps Chalkware Dunning Set of 2

Here are a pair of vintage table lamps in the form of a Union and. These mysteriously appeared in my father's den in the 1970s.

I don't know where he got them. He's been gone a long while now and I'm finally closing up shop. Some research tells me they are likely chalkware (plaster composition) with hand-painted details.
