An original Civil War Letter from Captain John Ingram at " HQ Cheatham's Division Polks Corps, Army of Tennessee Shelbyville " Feb 26, 1863 to "Gen" (General Alfred Jefferson Vaughan, Jr) asking he direct commanders to forward their battle reports for the Battle of Murfreesboro and also to detail men of the 11th Tennessee for guard duty at Rome, Georgia, signed by John Ingraham as AAG. 1p 8 x 10 ink on gray lined paper. Edges trimmed, age stains, Overall VG. This letter came from the estate of John Ingram, a 6th Tennessee officer who served on the staff of General Alfred Vaughan at the Battle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee & also at Chickamauga, Georgia.
