Columbia, SC on white paper with a blank reverse. Similar to the T-39 in design, the T-40's are dated from August 9th, 1862 - January 16, 1863.
The locomotive has diffused steam exiting the boiler. These notes paid 7.3% interest and many have interest paid stamps on the reverse. These interest paid stamps come in a variety of colors and different locations and are well collected. Grade: PCGS Very Fine 25. We understand grading a picture a note on the computer can be difficult.
