This book is only official confederate report of their role in the Civil War. There are battle reports from generals, the number of flags captured, some battlefield action scenes and lots of pictures of officers. The project was overseen by Fitzhugh Lee, Robert E Lee, s son.
This is a very good quality copy of the original printed in 1959 for the centennial of the war's beginning in 1860. The book opens with the Articles of Secession presented by each state and the election of Jefferson Davis as the Confederate president. The book is printed on good quality paper. Pages are clean; binding is a little loose.A great addition to any Civil War collection.
