This excavated tree stub with a shot fragments was a part of a collection of a gentleman that had over thousand civil war artifacts and relics during his career collecting. This Burnt Hickory Road branch from Acworth, Georgia is and unique item of civil war memorabilia as it contains a shot from either a union or confederate bullet. This is one of very few bullet/ tree relics in his collection, as many of these did not make it or survive throughout the years/ history do deterioration of the wild life itself. Many of the specimens are on display in the Gettysburg Museum, as well as the Smithsonian and other museums around the country and world.
