A very large and well built weapon, having a distinctive iron mounted hilt with slots in the front of the guard remaining in its original untouched condition and retaining its leather and brass wire over the wooden grip, although showing wear and small losses consistent with the age, it remains solid and fully intact, retaining its large hard leather washer under the hilt. Wearing a very long double fullered blade with distinctive clip point tip typical to all such examples, blade exhibits heavy patina throughout with areas of fine pitting, it hasn't been touched or cleaned in any way since this sword was in service and the entire sword is in lovely historic condition, few light nicks to the edge very possibly obtained in combat.
Solid overall and with its massive iron scabbard showing black patina and fine grained pitting throughout with no dents or breaks of any kind. Choice well marked example of the historic weapon which has surely seen extensive service in its life.
