Beautiful pair of Civil War Brass Spurs. Very Thick & Heavy Duty. Both have NICE patina & age appropriate wear that you want to see.
Spurs measure 5.25" Long by 3.25" wide buckle to buckle. About 11 inches in a leather strap. One is missing the Rowel. Comes from the Marvin Schelhouse Collection. Please see photos as they are considered part of the description.
This listing is for 2 Spurs Total. Marvin was the President of the Milford Historical Society for many years & was the Milford Museum commissioner in charge of many exhibits, such as The Vietnam War, The Battle of Iwo Jima, and The Civil War. He also served on the Civil War Society that established the Delaware Memorial/Monument at Gettysburg National Military Park to commemorate the service of those Delawareans that fought at the battle of Gettysburg.
For over 50 years, he studied and had a profound interest in the life and military career of General Alfred T. Army, one of Delaware's most notable sons.
