This week I will be listing a Civil War Collection from the Estate of a Virginia native. The collection was amassed during the 1970s and 80s and was focused on mostly Confederate States buckles and buttons.
Most of the pieces are dug but not all. Please look at my auctions to view this important collection. A lot of them were wired to a frame and marked on the back. I have done my best to preserve the marked pieces and include them in the individual auctions. This piece is a Confederate States Army Wreath and Tongue Buckle which measures 3 3/8" wide x 2 1/8" tall.It was found at Bottoms Bridge, VA in 1960. It looks like the letters were faded out and someone went over it and possibly got the name wrong. The next buckle listed has a clear name of MM Diefendorf. The item "Original CIVIL WAR Confederate States Army Wreath & Tongue Buckle Bottoms Bridge" is in sale since Sunday, September 25, 2016. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Militaria\Civil War (1861-65)\Original Period Items\Belts & Belt Buckles".
The seller is "yzmorris" and is located in San Diego, California. This item can be shipped worldwide.
