Original Antique Civil War Confederate Blockade Drum & Brass Handle Drumsticks

Confederate Drum & Drumsticks that belong together. They are French Army regulation Infantry pieces & were ran through the blockade from France.

Most Civil War Drums were made almost entirely of wood. This rare example has a brass shell with wood rims and rope tension devices. The brass is so old from over time that unless one examines the drum carefully, it has the appearance of being made from wood. Drum 14.25 inch diameter by 10 Tall.

Drumsticks 15.25 inches long by 7/8 diameter. Drumsticks have a 2 holes drilled in them and 4 old bolts that go together.

Not sure the use possibly for mounting - all shown in the photos. One side is missing its Drum head skin. Neat Old period repair on the drum head. Please see photos as they are considered part of the description.
