Original 1860, s Civil War Letter 116th Regiment Pennsylvania Grant at Petersburg // This letter really takes you to the events happening on the front lines for this soldier CARL PRICE of the 116th Regiment Company B / 3rd Brigade 1st Division CAMP ARMY OF THE POTOMAC of the Pennsylvania Volunteers. Letter dates July 29th 1864 and he talks about events that took place while in the hospital recovering from wounds and events with the regiment. Malvern Hill Virginia capturing 15 pieces of artillery and many prisoners and some officers. They say rebels have many calvary, something big to happen soon. The Army of the Potomac can do the dirty work needed for the battle..

Sending Confederate dollar and talks about the Johnies Rebs moving into your area(, so that must be at home) Needs paper etc etc. This is written on heavy stock paper as seen in photos.
