A very large example of a Southern Civil War Era Clip Point Bowie knife as typically used by Confederate Forces. Blade measures 12 3/4" and an overall knife length of 18". Handle is wood with a brass pommel and a brass spacer that goes into a wide brass hand guard.

Condition overall is good, showing use and age, including extensive pitting and rust on the blade. The tang is thick and wide. The handle is fully intact and sturdy. No marks were found on this knife. Guaranteed original, with 14 day inspection period.
