Maryland CIVIL War Confederate First Rifle Regiment Firearms Receipt
An original Invoice for the receipt of an Allen Revolver, balls, caps & powder flask by Lieutenant HP Scott, as QM 1st Rifle Regiment, Baltimore, April 23, 1861. This receipt was issued just 5 days after the Baltimore Riot, and the unit became the First Maryland CSA. The 8 x 5" ink receipt comes with an original 19th century ink inscribed 3 x 5" card indicating it is from the "Papers of General Isaac R Trimble whilst in command in Baltimore City April & May 1861".
Both items came with other papers relating to Poultney & Trimble, Baltimore, 1861 and was issued while General Trimble was organizing the Maryland Volunteers in Baltimore. General Orders and other imprints. All items are unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic and in the condition as described.
