Group of 3 large bound song books with approximately 140 pieces of sheet music for Lillie Dale who was likely a professional muscian. Circa 1850's thru 1860's. Includes several Stephen Foster, Scotch ballads, Pat Malloy, quick steps, waltzes, polkas, California Cotillion, Grand Russian March, schottisch, ballads and Three Bells Polka dedicated to Scottish Capt.
Robert Creighton of the Three Bells for his heroic actions. Christy's Minstrels Massa's in de Cold Ground by Stephen Foster, Lancer's Quadrilles, Juggernaut March from The Cataract of the Ganges grand spectacle. I found a couple related to the Civil War published in New Orleans, Wearing of the Grey, published by Blackmar, 1865, The Conquered Banner 1866, others war themed but not titled specific to the Confederacy.
Each volume is 10.5" x 13.75" , two are 1.5" thick, one is 1" thick. Bindings range from not bad to terrible, paper ranges from many good sheets to some just all over brown and alot of foxing.
