John C. Breckinridge, Confederate General & Confederate Secretary Of War

He was the Vice Predident of the United States prior to the War Between The States. When the war broke out, Breckinridge was commissioned as a Confederate General and led troops in both major theaters of war. In the Western Theater he was in command at battles such as Shiloh and Murfreesboro before being transferred to the Eastern Theater.

There he was in command when he famously sent the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) cadets into battle during the Battle of New Market. Toward the end of the war fellow Kentuckian, President Jefferson Davis, made Breckinridge the Confederate Secretary of War. Please ask all questions beforehand and check out my other listings.
