Investment Grade Civil War, Confederate, Nashville TN Reunion medal, Excellent condition. This is an EXCELLENT condition Confederate Veterans, Nashville Tennessee Reunion medal. I have NEVER seen a Confederate Veteran's medal in this exceptional condition before, ever. Features the Confederate flag centered in the cross, there is a small chip of enamel missing as can be seen in the pictures. There is no corrosion or staining or rust; it is near as-made, near-mint condition.
The maker's hallmark is on the reverse, and on the reverse is also very fine writing that I cannot read. The Ribbon is excellent, basically as-made condition, and note nearly all Confederate Veteran medals have red or red and white ribbon, it is especially unusual to find a Confederate Veteran medal with a red white and blue ribbon; the ribbon and medal are in consistent FINE condition, appear to be original to each other, and came out of an old estate. This is a rare piece of American Civil War Confederate History. The condition of this medal, this is easily museum quality, near mint condition, have never seen another this nice, and doubt to ever see one this nice again.
