Exceedingly rare Civil War Confederate broadside over the Battle of Cornith, Mississippi. To the (attention) of Mr. Mellen, who I receive the following from Captain J. Johnston, we are indebte I for the opportunson of placing it before the public: A dispatch from Fayette says after fighting for two days at Cornith, our victory was complete. On the evening of the 21st day (21d), Buell came up for reinforcements on gunboats.

They would not land, and after firing at them for hours without effect, our army withdrew to Cornith, with 10,000 prisoners, 100 cannons, 25,000 stands of arms, all their ammunition, army stores, camp euipage, tents &c. There are no know copies of this broadside in existance. 3'1/2 x 7 inches.
