Signed and numbered limited edition print, mint condition. By 1863 the Confederate army had established a unit of men to help the wounded soldiers. The unit consisted of trained stretcher bearers, an ambulance corps and military doctors. The Confederate Medical Service was organized and modeled after the same service in the Federal Army. Each regiment had a surgeon and an assistant surgeon, usually a Major assisted by a Captain. We have 30 years experience in the military art business.
