Embossed copper shell plaque of General Lee. No markings, but likely produced in 1865 by Powell as part of a series of key figures in the just-concluded war. The plaque may have originally been silvered, but the silvering is no longer present. Plaque has imbedded wires on the verso for mounting or suspension. Plaque/board - 13" x 10 1/2".
Bust - 8" x 6 1/2". Offered with oak board for display. I believe the board probably dates to the early 20th century. It is included in this lot.
The plaque needs to be rewired/attached to the board. I also have a General Sherman and Admiral Farragut listed.
