Confederate Treasury Claim - Georgia 11th Regiment - Horse Killed 1865. This is an interesting Civil War Document. Issued by the Confederate States of America - Treasury Department - Second Auditor's Office.
Fambrough, cousin to Brig General George T. That was killed in action. It states that Anderson approved of the claim citing 80 horses killed in battle.
Claim was approved by Lewis Cruger, Comptroller. Lots of names and other info in letter but it's all hard to read. A Civil War historian will recognize more than I can. Document is on very thin, fragile paper, badly worn in places. Apprx 8.5" X 12".This is an original postcard or historical document. Prater Collectible's does not sell re-productions. If there are any problems with the condition above normal light general wear, I will note it in the description. If there is anything of interest about the message, postmark, stamp or anything else on the back of the card, I will note it in the description. We have been in the postcard business for over 35 years and placing quality collectible cards in the hands of collectors, investors and historians is our main goal.
