FORMAT: This complete set is made of 16 books, representing 12 volumes (some volumes were reprinted in 2 separate parts due to their size: for example, Virginia has a Volume 3, Part I, and a Volume 3, Part II, which were originally one volume in the 1889 edition). Red cloth covers with gold imprinting on front and spine.Gold gilt on all page edges. Published by Confederate / Archives publishing Co. 1994; facsimile reprint of the 1899 edition, originally published in 12 volumes. Edited by general Clement Anselm Evans of Georgia, each volume is written by "distinguished men of the South".
Each volume measures 9.25" x 6". BONUS: In addition, included with this lot are TWO Commemorative stamps from the US Postal Service. One is The Freedom Statue Stamp, part of the "Historic Stamps of America" series. The other is a Joseph E. Johnson gold stamp replica First day Issue, part of the "Civil War Cassic Collection" series.1 General History (parts 1 & 2). For Volumes 2-11 each contains the various state's narratives and biographical sections (limited to general officers).
