The display is centered around a military image of the general in his Confederate uniform. Mounted next to his image is a [DS] document signed, a check drawn upon The State Banking CO.
Of Gainesville, Ga, dated Nov 19, 1902. The check is completed in his hand and signed''James Longstreet'' in black fountain pen. The check measures 5.75 x 2.75 inches, with trivial wear otherwise bold and displays wonderfully. Also mounted within in the display in an engraved metal bio plaque. The display has been handsomely triple matted in an off-white mat, along with the photograph and check completed in a gold wood trim. The frame measures 20.00 x 14.00 inches.
Sellers Note, the matting is very well done with all quality materials, triple matted with wood trim as noted above. The frame is a quality wood display, with general wear, more than presentable but it does have some faults. The autograph is authentic, the display is very attractive and is a desirable example of this prominent Confederate commander.
