Confederate Civil War Soldier Ambrotype Photo with Sword & Colt Revolver Amazing
Here is an amazing Civil War Confederate soldier Ambrotype photo with a gorgeous frame in great condition. Even the little latch hook is intact and functions perfectly. I'm not an authority on these, but this is by far the nicest one that I've ever seen. It's clear and clean. He's holding a sword and there is a revolver tucked into his waistband. I'd appreciate any info that you may have about it, whether now or after the auctions close. I have another one to list too, with two soldiers in an unusual pose, check out my other listings. It's a low reserve.
I'm not sure if he's a confederate or not, so any help that anyone could provide would be appreciated. I just added the photo of his belt buckle, which is an eagle - maybe officially Calvary? Not sure if the eagle was used on both sides, but something online with a buckle said that it was a Union buckle.
