Removed from nonce volume with original wrappers present; while a limited number of copies were issued with a leaf containing an albumen print of Lee mounted on the recto and another of the company commanders mounted on the verso as well as a chromolithographic plate of the Confederate flag, not all copies were so issued, in fact very few were issued thus. This copy is without the plates and their is no evidence of plates having been removed. Binding residue along the spine, stitching a bit loose; rear wrapper is torn with loss along the bottom edge; the final three leaves have some corresponding tears in the lower margin that have been sensitively mended; faint and early tideline along the top and fore-edge margin.
Even in this condition, this is a remarkably uncommon pamphlet and in demand "because of the scarcity of extant copies" CWB I, 112.
