Civil War reenactor Confederate officer frock coat size L wool Jarnigan uniform
In size Large, 42 regular, this coat was made for me in the early 1980s and I used it in reenactments for years. Jarnigan is an excellent and authentic maker of Civil War uniforms and has produced them for decades. Note it is missing one of the brass buttons of the six on the rear of the coat. I have not worn this frock coat in many years but have kept it in the closet for sentimental reasons.
Now it needs a new home! Please note that the insignia for a 1st lieutenant is sewn into the collar. This can easily be covered by patch cloth insignia for higher officer ranks. The last of the attached photos shows the inner pocket, which is quite handy.
