An Original Letter and Postal Cover from Lancelot M Blackford, as Principal of the Episcopal High School of Virginia, Jul7, 1893, to George L Blitzer of Leesburg, Virginia, re a young man's college plans, recommending him to Washington and Lee University. 1p 8 x 1 letter bears the Episcopal HS, LM Blacfford heading and is ink signed by Blackford. Normal age darkening and folds, it is in Overall VG Condition. The Postal Cover also bears the printed heading for Blackford, as the school Prinicipal, with printed US Stamp and with Episcopal Seminary postmark.
