C&D Jarnigan made CS cavalry Frock with field grade officers button pattern but hosts 4 rows deluxe flat braiding and General officers collar wreath and stars, adding a personal note to the coat suggesting it was a Colonels prior to promotion. It was common for officers coats to be "upgraded" or adapted to reflect new rank or appointments. The trousers are mounted reenforced trousers of fine quality blue cloth, they have been worn in the saddle and have one or two very minor pics as to be expected and one very small hole that my photo person despite being told to include failed to do so : but I will have that corrected in a few days, the hole is quite small and a simple 1 stich repair is all that is required to fix it but might do more harm than good. (honestly I think someone got to close to the camp fire or either careless with a cigar) Otherwise they are quite well made and have many many more days in the field ahead of them. Also the coat is worn but has no true defects I can note with the exception of what appears to be a very small 3 or 4 stitch repair on the back bottom of the tail that you will miss unless you are OCD like myself, or paying close attention to detail, if you are not a stickler this less common very well crafted and adorned frock is about top of the line hands down and arguably among the best made entirely in the US of A.
