The Envelope was sent from a Confederate Prison Camp by Captain Edward R. Crockett of the 30th Regiment, Tennessee Infantry, C. Addressed to his father, M.
Crockett (Martin David), and his mother, M. Crockett was captured at Fort Donelson, Tennessee. Captain Crockett was later killed in action at the battle of Chickamauga, Georgia. The envelope is probably from Camp Douglas, or Camp Butler. We will be happy to help.
