I argued with 4 people for over an hour without satisfaction. It is an Confederate officers kepi with 3 and 4 rows of braid. Gen'l, could be either, but I don't believe a Col. Would have more than 3 rows of braid. It was either brought or sent home by James William Hildebran a Private in the Co.
