Antique Copper Printing Block Confederate Officer Ceremonial Uniform 3
This is a unique antique copper printing block featuring a detailed depiction of a Confederate officer standing with a flag. The officer is dressed in a ceremonial uniform, holding an ornate hat in one hand and a partially visible flag in the other. What is visible on the flag is a larger single star and at least two white stripes. The flag could potentially represent a Western Confederate design, that is potentially influenced by Texas symbolism or the "Stars and Bars". What can also be seen in the background is another person on horseback with a horse right next to him with no rider.

Without a printing press it is difficult to say for certain. This image came from the same estate that had a very unique Robert E Lee Copper Printing block which was an actual photograph of Lee transferred to the copper plate.

So this could potentially be Lee as well, and could potentially be a photograph that was transferred to a plate as well. Material: Copper face with fine engraving, mounted on a wooden base. Design: Confederate officer standing ceremonially with soldiers and horses faintly visible in the background. Flag Details: Flag includes one large visible star and two white stripes, possibly representing a Western Confederate flag or Texas symbolism. Dimensions: Approximately 1.6" wide x 3" tall (see photos for scale).

Condition: Excellent antique condition with clear engraving and natural patina on the copper face. The wooden base shows age-appropriate wear. This rare printing block would make a fantastic addition to a Civil War-era collection, historical displays, or vintage printmaking projects. A unique artifact representing Confederate symbolism and the Western Theater during the American Civil War.
