ANTIQUE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR 1862 DATED CONFEDERATE OFFICER'S SWORD MAKER MARKED. THE MOUNTS ARE OF BRASS WITH HEAVY PATINA, THE GRIP IS WOOD MISSING MOST OF THE LEATHER BUT HAS BRASS WIRE WRAP. THE SCABBARD IS IRON WITH BRASS MOUNTS, MISSING RINGS.
STRAIGHT AND HAS LARGE FULLER, LOWER BLADE HAS MAKER MARKS AND DATED 1862 UNDER "CS" MARKING. CONDITION IS FARE TO GOOD WITH MUCH PATINA AND HEAVY PITTING ON THE BLADE.BLADE AND HILT ARE TIGHT. LIKELY MADE AND USED DURING THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR BY CONFEDERATE OFFICER. TOTAL LENGTH IS 38" BLADE IS 30 3/4". Please refer to pictures for item condition.
