The diameter of both the bullets bases are. The hole in the base is 1/4 inch and originally had a wood plug with a smaller wood pin that extended up into the bullet.
The tip would have been coated with fulminate of mercury. The inside of the bullet was reamed out with some kind of expanding tool.
The bullet stands 1 1/4 inch tall. I believe it was fired from an 8 gauge shotgun.
The last picture compares the explosive bullet to a Prussian. The Prussian bullet is not for sale. I only know of 4 of these bullets to exist and here's your chance for two of them. They will make a great addition to any bullet collection.
