HERE'S A CIVIL WAR UNION PATRIOTIC COVER DESCRIPTION: THIS ATTRACTIVE COVER FEATURES A COLOR VIGNETTE CACHET OF LADY LIBERTY STANDING ON THE "CONSTITUTION" CROWNING A BUST STATUE OF GENERAL ROBERT ANDERSON WITH A LAUREL CROWN, WITH THE TEXT BENEATH THE IMAGE THAT READS: "General Beauregard is already acquainted with my only terms" This cover is a reference to Confederate Gen. Beauregard's formal demands for the surrender of Fort Sumter, and then Major Anderson's replies! The cover measures 5½" x 3-1/8" and is in Very Fine Condition, complete with backflap. There is no printer's mark.
