1/9 Plate Civil War Tintype -Somber Confederate Soldier with Richmond Depot Jacket
An excellent ninth plate tintype of a Confederate soldier with a rather somber expression. He sits in the photographers studio before a solid background. A cotton shirt, gray vest, and cravat are visible underneath his Richmond Depot jacket. His cheeks have been lightly rouged and a gold tint applied to his buttons.
It comes housed in a full leather case with a repaired hinge. Please see my other items for more interesting and original Civil War pieces.
