Rare History Of CIVIL War Confederate Prisons And Military Prisoners
RARE HISTORY OF CIVIL WAR MILITARY PRISONERS AND CONFEDERATE PRISONS. Prisoners of War and Military Prisons. Personal Narratives of Experience in the Prisons at Richmond, Danville, Macon, Andersonville, Savannah, Millen, Charleston and Columbia, with a General Account of Prison Life and Prisons in the South during the War of the Rebellion, Including Statistical Information Pertaining to Prisoners of War; together with a List of Officers who were Prisoners of War from January 1, 1864. Cincinnati, Lyman & Cushing, 1890.

Xi, 571 pages, frontispiece, illustrations, map of Andersonville Prison. First edition, in very good condition (the few small rubs on the binding are exaggerated by my photo - I don't know why).

There is a small piece missing from the free rear endpaper, and the front interior hinge has been re-glued. There are no missing pages, no writing in the text, no underlining, no notes, and no inscriptions or previous owner names or signatures. In sum, the book is in extraordinarily good condition, especially for a book this size and age. Returnable if my description is not accurate.
