This is a cased 9th plate tintype of a young Georgian wearing a kepi with a large company E letter affixed to the front. His jacket almost looks like a standard Federal fatigue blouse with a crudely hand-applied lining. This photo was originally mounted to a CDV sized card and pasted in with the Kuhn Gallery, Atlanta GA backing. At some point it was removed and housed in a 9th plate tintype case. The case is in good condition with a split spine. The item "Probable Confederate Tintype with Atlanta GA Backmark and Kepi Civil War Georgia" is in sale since Friday, January 3, 2020.
